EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The SouthTeX refinery is a 20,000 bpd simple refinery that was built to produce summer and winter diesel, naphtha, kerosene, and fuel oils. The diesel was sold at the owners truck stops in the Beaumont area, the naphtha was sent to the Crown refinery for processing into reformed gasoline (plant would need a reformer to make gasoline) and the fuel oil sold to ships in Port Arthur.

The refinery ran at 10,000 bpd in stream 1. Stream 2 is also 10 000 bpd to total 20,000 B/D production. The units were completely refurbished once in 1989 and kept pickled since shutdown. The pumps are periodically turned on and are in working condition.

After 1991, the refinery was shut down due to a major slowdown in the global refinery industry.  The equipment is in working condition with many spares. The control system is a pneumatic system which under the purchase agreement will be replaced and converted to a new PLC system to increase overall efficiency and operation simplicity.

The SouthTex refinery can be relocated easily to the Country desired to produce straight run gasoline, kerosene, diesel and asphalt. The refinery is configured to run high quality crude, or can be configured to run off DOBA Heavy crude oil and the process would maximize diesel and Asphalt production.

During the reinstallation process the refinery will be configured to run off any of the local crude’s or a blend of any of these crude’s to produce the products of choice.

The plant is capable to produce straight run gasoline, kerosene, and diesel and asphalt... The refinery is ready to be dismantled, refurbished, shipped and relocated to a site in the Country desired.

Global and Kaltech Canada or JV partners and own the SouthTeX Refinery for sale.  Please contact James Whitsitt @ 214-321-9044 if you have any questions.
